Incoming emails that have sound

I have sound on my pc. I can play music in chat and I have all the other
sounds as going in and out of email...etc But when people send me email that
has sound I do not get the sound. A friend of mine composes music and he has
sent me the music 3 times. I have everything I need to play it and it
appears to be playing but I can not hear it ...Could someone please help me
with this.. Thank you very much...If the answer is detailed you could send to

Sound can be 'embedded', or 'attached'. If embedded, be sure you are not set to view in Text Only mode. OE, tools menu, Options,
READ Tab, UNcheck the "Show all messages in plain text" item. Apply, View the message again.

If the sound is 'linked' to a web site, you can set the options to allow that, too.

If attached, you might be set to mute that type sound. Start/Run, type: sndvol32

Use the Options menu, Properties to check all types, and OK, then see all sliders for various inputs, and the "Mute" option
checkboxes below them.
