Version 2003 - Friend was customizing some options, and now when he receives
incoming e-mails, they will not show any formatting. However, if he clicks
on reply or forward, the message is formatted. I'm stumped - what has he
done?

Thanks for your reply - I had him check that, the plain text format box is
unchecked.

Why don't you ask him? He's the one who did it. We weren't there.

Whoa, I did something wrong to get that response! My friend doesn’t know
what he did, and he called me to see if I could help. I did try everything I
could think of before asking, but as this medium is a typically a wonderful
tool, I posted the question to see if an expert might know what option he
might have selected or unselected to cause the change. I apologize if my
query was not appropriate for this forum and I will be sure to be more
careful in the future. If anyone who reads this does have an idea, I still
would welcome any suggestion you might have.

He said Trend Micro Antivirus, but nothing else (however I THINK the problem
was happening before then)

The problem is that with no hints as to what might have been changed, it's
extremely ineffectual to simply suggest wild guesses.
