inbox stuck trying to receive message 8 of 33

My message #8 can't be received. I got 1-7, but it sticks on message 8. I
have 33 messages, but it won't go past #8. What do I do???
 
That symptom indicates a 'stuck' email on the server.
Log in via webmail (using your browser), sort the messages there by date,
delete all the older ones you've already downloaded, plus one more.
Then try Windows Mail again.
