Inbox indicates 1 new message when there is none

Hi,

My Inbox has the Bold number (1) beside it which indicates there is a new
e-mail, but when I go inside to see there are none. I have tried closing and
restarting Outlook 2003 but no go. Any Suggestions would be welcomed.

Are you filtering your view at all? Could it be an older message that you
haven't opened that you don't see in the most recent emails?
