In Sent items, the email formatting changes once email has been se

I have a user who noticed that his sent items formatting changes. I've
confirmed that his email is Times N Roman 12 pt on a couple of emails where
this has happened - he sends, and then when he opens the email from his sent
items (either immediately or a few weeks later), suddenly some of the font
has changed in size - maybe one sentence or a few sentence (but never a full
paragraph).

Might have a custom view setting applied somewhere that is not the same
for sent items?

I now have an answer to my own question which I'll post in case someone else
needs this answer:

The HTML source code shows the problem - what likely happened is a few font
or indent changes that were done but then deleted while typing. However, the
HTML code didn't update, thus when the email was sent, even though on the
screen the font appeared 12 pt, the HTML code was still 14 or 16 pt, and now
appears as such in the Sent Items.
