In search of a learners guide?

Is there any books out there to help learn and understand all this stuff?
Front page, HTML, CSS, what to do and use?
Also anything that can take you through setting up and applying a
website step by step?
Something for the illiterate on all this? Like Dummies for Dummies in
baby steps or something? There is so much with everything, it is difficult
to know what to learn when and what to believe or not? All the information
out there contradicts each other so how do you know what is "correct" and not?

There are a number of good books that you can find in your local bookstore.
Like Using FrontPage Special Edition, FrontPage Inside Out etc..

When I first started, I bought Frontpage Inside Out. I still refer to it
almost every day. That, and this discussion group, will solve about any
problem you have.
