improper shutdown

After having to hit the reste button to shut down I
received the following message on restart after almost
all serices are started.

"Run a Dll as an App has encountered a problem and needs
to close." AppVer: 5.1.2600.0 ModName: x10net.dll

I also can not restore to any point.

Do you have something installed that is related to remote controls? A
search on google.com brought up many possible and different devices but
they all related back to software for remote control. Whatever is installed
on your system may need to be reinstalled or updated to fix.
