I would like to import all of my emails, contacts & account settings from my
exisitng laptop, which has a faulty power supply, to a new laptop which is
exactly the same (but the power supply works!) Please can somebody advise me
how to do this. Many thanks, Lyle

Hi Lyle,

How you approach this depends on whether or not you can still load Vista on
the system with the faulty power supply. If you can, then you can use the
Easy Transfer tool. If not, then I would see about swapping hard drives
temporarily to access the desired files.

Hi Rick,
Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly - much appreciated. The
power fault in my laptop is linked to the battery so as long as I am plugged
into the mains, as I am now, it works fine. Forgive me but I am a complete
computer novice, where exactly do I find the easy transfer tool and should I
link the two computers or burn the information to a disc (I have CD & DVD)?
Thank you again,
Lyle

Hi Rick,
Copied contents Windows Mail Folder onto DVD then into Windows Mail Folder
on new machine - worked perfectly.
Many thanks
Lyle
