Importing video problem

I've used MM 2.1 numerous times over the past few years. Mostly to create
DVDs of family vacations. This week I ran into an issue I've never
experienced.

I captured a 67 minute video (DV-AVI) format from my Sony MiniDV the same as
I always have. The problem is that MM 2.1 only recognizes the first 2
seconds of the file. The entire 13.7 gb file is on my system as I can play
it in Media Player. I've tried importing it into MM a few different ways.
I've also tried re-capturing it a few times, but no success.

I'm using Windows XP SP2 and IE7. The only change to my system from the
last time I used MM would be the change to IE7.

Can someone give me an idea of what's going on?

Some users have reported IE7 caused
various problems....maybe it would be
worth a try to uninstall it.
