Importing Outlook contacts

Hello

I'm just starting with BCM and have 1000+ business and personal contacts in
Outlook. I'd like to bring the business contacts into BCM and group them
under accounts. Is there an easy way to do this because importing seems to
bring a whole file.

Importing Existing Outlook Data
If there are existing contacts in an Outlook .pst file that the user needs
to import into the Business Contacts folder, there is no import utility for
this data. The way to accomplish this is to simply drag-and-drop the
contacts into BCM. To do this, the user needs to perform the following
steps:

Click on the Contacts banner in the Navigation Pane.

Click on the appropriate Contacts in Personal Folders folder.

Either individually Ctrl+click the contacts, or click on Edit,
Select All to select all of the contacts in the folder.

Right-click drag-and-drop onto the Business Contacts in Business
Contact Manager folder.

Choose either Move or Copy.

The contacts will be moved or copied. This may take a while,
depending on the number of contacts.



To avoid other issues in the future, I would strongly suggest installing SP1
for BCM.
