Import Outlook contacts to BCM contacts/account

Guest

Hi. My office recently installed the BCM 2003 to our Outlook 2003. We have
several hundred contacts already in Outlook, but for some reason I'm having
difficulty copying them to the BCM contacts.

I'd also like to create accountsin the BCM using the contacts already in the
system.

I tried exporting the Outlook contacts to a Personal Folder File (.pst) on
my desktop. However, the BCM fails to import it, because it says it does not
list Outlook Contacts at all as one of the importable files. I can't even
browse and select it from my desktop. It simply does not show up.

Please save me from having to retype the hundreds of Outlook contacts into
my Business Contact manager contacts/accounts.

Hi Jamie

You should be able to drag/drop Outlook Contacts directly into Business
Contacts (or Accounts) in BCM. You can also highlight the desired accounts
and go to Edit > Copy (or Move) and then point to BCM as the destination

You can also export your Contacts to an Excel or TXT/CSV file and import
those files directly into BCM

Hope this helps!

Larry,

If I have a listing saved in all 3 places: Contacts, BCM Contacts, and BCM
Accounts, will making a change in one automatically update the other 2?

Outlook contacts and BCM contacts are independant of each other and changing
the Outlook contact will not alter the same Business Contact or Account
