Importing mulltiple pst files into one

I'm preparing to migrate my e-mail over to a hosted Exchange 2007 system. In
my current Outlook 2003 I have two sets of personal folders. The first set
was created when I used a POP3 account. I have several subfolders here that
I'd like to keep and mail in the inbox. I also have an IMAP account with a
set of folders that I'd like to move. I understand that when I import a PST
file I'll see an option to import the entire file or specific folders. Is
there any reason that I can't run the import process twice to select the
various folders that I want from two different PST files?

NEVER import from a PST. At best you'll lose some data. At worst, you'll
corrupt your mail profile as well and have to start with a new one. Just
open the PSTs with File>Open>Outlook Data File.

If you won't be able to access the IMAP server any more, before deleting the
IMAP account, create a new PST and copy the contents of the IMAP folders to
the new PST. IMAP folders may or may not contain all the messages stored on
the server.

OK. I'm really confused by your advice. My Exchange hosting company proveded
written directions to create a new profile, connect to my Exchange mailbox
and then import the Personal Folder File that I had previously exported.

FYI...I succesfully imported the mail and subfolders from two different pst
files so that my current mail now resides in my Exchange mailbox and I may
retire the old profile. very simple and error free.

By importing you have permanently lost some of the data in the PST.
Hopefully, it will not be data you need.
