Importing messages/contacts from 2000

Hi all,

Loaded Outlook 2003 on my machine. Prior to loading I exported all my
contact and emails messages from 2000 into a pst file.

I subsequently, after installing 2003, tried to IMPORT the same into 2003
and am unable to do so . It goes thru the process but something shows up.

What I am missing?

It seems as if we are running into a similar problem. See my post below. I
have a feeling we are not the only ones running into this issue. With that
said, none of the information I have found has addressed the issue
specifically. Please let me know if you come to any resolution on this
issue. I will do the same.

Don't. In Outlook go to File-Open-Outlook Data File instead.

Woud I then open the .pst file created by 2000 or ?

yes. open the file in Outlook, and then you can either set that file as the
default mail delivery location and delete the other, or copy everything in
the old file to the new.
