I am at a loss-
I have purchased new computer with Windows XP.
My old computer had Windows 98.
I am now on my new computer and wish to import all my
EMail messages, (Inbox, Sent, Drafts, etc.) also my
Newsgroups that I had subscribed to.
I used the import wizard and have had no success. It
only provides areas to import from that are on the new
computer. No help. I know where the files are on the
old computer. They are .dbx files stored in
Windows/Applications....
There is no such animal on this new computer to import
them to. I have also transferred these files (from the
old computer) to a CD. For instance, my Inbox shows a
file size of 12 MB's. Unfortunately I tried to open it
with Word Pad and got a garbled mess. This also changed
all the icons for all the OE files to open in Word Pad.
I will deal with that problem later.
Why is this so difficult? Oh, I also downloaded a
program that was supposed to import .dbx files and all I
got was a duplicate of the messages that I already had on
my new computer. Sorry this is so complicated.
Thank you for any help-
