I am running Ooutlook 2002 and I need to import from another computer
running Outlook 2003. I have exported/imported into Excel but that doesn't
give me the attachments. When I try to carry out a straight Import from pst
I am told that the files are incompatible. Is there any way of resolving
this issue?

Hello Ben,

I have the same problem - sending data to a law office that still uses
Outlook 2002.

When I go to Export the PST (File ->Import and Export) from Outlook 2003, I
do not see an option to export a PST into Outlook 97-2002. Where can I find
this option?

Thanks,
Charles

Never export to or import from a PST. You lose data that way. Instead,
create an ANSI PST with File>New>Outlook Data File. Choose the 97-2002
format and click Next. Browse to the folder where you want it (or accept
the default), give it a name (or accept the default) and click Next. Give
it a display name (or accept the default - I'd change it so you don't
confuse it with what you already have) and click Finish. You now have a PST
that the older Outlook can read. Copy all your folders to it, close it with
right-click>Close, and exit Outlook. The PST you created will be able to be
opened in the other Outlook. Do NOT import it.
