Importing email and contacts from CD

I had to send my laptop back for repair (new harddrive) so I saved all my
contact folders and email folders to a CD. Before I import and to prevent
problems can someone tell me if I can just drag the Contacts Folders from the
cd to my Contacts Folder or must I use the Import function for both email and
contacts?

Likewise with my email folders which I have several saved to CD, can I drag
them to my Lacal Folder in Windows mail or must I Import them?

I would try Import and see how it works. Much depends on exactly how you
saved the files to CD, which is hard to determine from your post. I would
have recommended Export to a folder, and then save that folder to CD.

Thanks for your response, I exported from Vista using the exort under FILE
tab. I did the same for Contacts and email messages.

I had several folders for each and exported all of the files.

Hope this clarifies how I saved them to Cd and may help you further help me.
