Export Contacts

Instructions to export contacts are to open the contacts folder - select
Tools - select Export. However, when I select Tools in the contact folder I
have only 4 choices - Map Network - Disconnect Network Drive - Open Sync
Center - Folder Options. I cannot find the options to Import or Export
anywhere. I want to export the email addresses so they can be used on my
laptop running XP pro.

It sounds like your Contacts folder is using the wrong folder template to
display.

Open your Contacts folder from the toolbar button>right click in a blank
area of the folder>select 'customise this folder'>select Contacts from the
drop down menu.

I customized the Contacts folder to "Contacts". Doing that did not change
the options under Tools. Still have only the four options listed in my
initial inquiry. However, making this change created a new problem - all
the folders in my Documents also changed to the "Contacts" format and I did
not select apply to all folders. Any other suggestions?

Not at all sure why that would apply the view to all your folders?

The options under tools is what you see, 4 options, that's normal.

You should now have the Contacts toolbar with Export and Import on it?

Have you tried setting the folder template type on the other folders, so
that they represent their content, music folder to music etc in the same way
that you customised the contacts folder.
