What kind of account do you have with whomever hosts your mail? You need to
ask them, and ask them what the settings are.

Warren7 (&Lanwench),

I am exactly where u were when u wrote this e-mail question. I don't even
know what questions of Yahoo or HP to ask inorder to get the answers to the
POP3&IMAP required boxes. I have Outlook @ my work &stumbled across the
answers to the exact same questions, when Outlook got updated. Feeling
ignorant. Can u teach me what u learnd?

Yahoo! doesn't support IMAP access, to the best of my knowledge. The
POP/SMTP server you should use depends on which Yahoo! service you employ:
BT Internet, SBC Internet, and so on. If you use one of these services, or
you pay Yahoo! for an account, the service you pay can give you the answers.
Contact their support group. If you access Yahoo! using one of their free
mail accounts, you can't use Outlook to access that account, since there is
no POP/SMTP servers for the free accounts.
