I am using a 3rd party e-mail vendor that supports IMAP receving and SMTP
sending. Just recently I got a laptop with Vista Ultimate (Clean install)
and I am using Outlook 2002. With all of my settings on Tools-e-mail
accounts set correctly I am able to recieve but i cannot send e-mail
messages. Any ideas??????

Outlook 2002 is not compatible with Vista. Do you get any error messages
and, if so, what is the exact text?

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'(e-mail address removed)' on 8/15/2007 8:53 AM
554 <unknown[64.122.195.210]>: Client host rejected: Access denied

As a message in my POP inbox. Everything else seems to be working fine.

I sure hope that wasn't your real mail address you posted. If so, prepared
to be inundated with spam and virues and to have your address used by the
spammers to send their swill. Never post a real address in a newsgroup.

Do you have your TCP/IP service configured to supply a host name and append
a domain when connected to the Internet? Are you properly authenticating to
the outgoung server (which may be where the problem lies in OL 2002 on
Vista)? It could also be an issue with rDNS (reverse lookup of the IP
address). The domain "fibersensys.com" has no A records in the DNS and the
MX record points to the domain mail.bluetie.com while the IP address in the
error is an address in the space of Integra Telecom. It appears that domain
your PC is sending and its IP address simply don't match and so the server
rejects the connection.
