IMAP folder calendar events showing up as emails

I am subscribing to public folders on an IMAP account. I can subscribe okay,
but the calendar that I am supposed to be able to see has each even coming
through as an email. Any idea of how I can fix this? Thanks!

imap doesn't support outlook's special folders, it only does email. If you
want to see them as mapi folders you'll need to use insightconnector.

IMAP is strictly a mail protocol. There's nothing to fix.

Thanks for the help. Many other people in my department have it working just
fine, so I know it is possible. I am not very familiar with this stuff, so
please elaborate on "mapi" folders and "insightconnector"

Then perhaps they're not using IMAP accounts.
