Images inserted at Outlook 2K3

Jaisol

I don't understand why when we send a HTML message including images inserted
same messages are received like Text message with images attached.
In fact default message format is HTML.

This is happen in 2 pcs and sometime before these didn`t have this problem.
I have tested with other (3rty pc) always with O 2K3 (plus SP2) and it
worked fine then I installed SP2 to pcs with problem but this action not fix
the images problem.

People who receive message are not understanding because text and images in
message are in sequence like a manual.

Any help will be appreciated, THKS!

We have tried too replacing HTML with RICH TEXT format but it didn't work
always in same 2 pcs.
Images/pictures are received at attachments and not inserted in body
message.

Some else suggestion.

Once again, THKS!

What mail server? Does it work for some and not other addresses? If so, the
addresses could be set for always plain text.

Jaisol,
Take a look at the receiver's email security settings. With some e-mail
programs and security settings, the images will always be attachments.

J

Jaisol

You right but I think the problem is caused from send action and not from
receive action because EVERYBODY (people with other email clients like
foxmail, outlook express, entourage) is receiving the message with
images/pictures attached and not inserted in body message when message have
been send from these 2 pcs.

Anyway I tested with minimum automatic images download security settings and
didn't work.

Thanks again.

What mail server?

I don't know because our ISP provides mail server but I suppose they use
IMail Server from IPSWITCH because webmail page have just this IPSwitch
logo.
Does it work for some and not other addresses? If so, the
addresses could be set for always plain text.

To probe your hypothesis I did following tests.

INFO:
1. IP addresses of 2 pcs with mail image/picture problems are 10.0.0.62/70
2. IP addresses of other 2 pcs without mail image problem are 10.0.0.252/253

TEST:
3. Shutdown 2 pcs without images/pictures problem with IP addresses
10.0.0.252 and 10.0.0.253
4. Replace IP address of pc with image mail problem from 10.0.0.62 to
10.0.0.252
5. Sent message with images inserted but didn't work, message was received
with images attached
6. Replace IP address of pc with image mail problem from 10.0.0.252 to
10.0.0.253
7. Sent message with images inserted but didn't work, message was received
with images attached
8. Replace 10.0.0.253 to original IP address (10.0.0.62)
9. Did same steps (4 to 8) with others IP addresses: 10.0.0.70 (with image
mail problem) and 10.0.0.252/253 (without image mail problem) and didn't
work

Then I think the issue is not for ISP mail server cause.

Some else suggestion?

Thanks again.

Um, I meant email addresses - can the 2 pcs send to some email addresses ok?
There is a setting on contacts to always use plain text that could be
enabled for addresses in contacts.

I see.

Do you mean at email addresses created directly from mail server or contacts
list from email client (O 2K3)?

In Outlook I have checked contacts settings on Tools-Options-Contatcs and I
didn't see some format message feature.

I tested this:
1. From my pc I sent email with image in body message to (e-mail address removed)
and (e-mail address removed) received message ok (he was located in other pc).
2. From my pc I sent other email with image in body message to
(e-mail address removed) and (e-mail address removed) received message ok (he was located in
the 2 pcs).
3. From the 2 pcs (e-mail address removed) sent me email with image in body message
and I received message with images attached (I was located in the 2 pcs).
4. From the 2 pcs (e-mail address removed) sent me email with image in body message
and I received message with images attached (I was located in my pc).
5. From other pc (e-mail address removed) sent me email with image in body message
and I received message ok (I was located in my pc).
6. From other pc (e-mail address removed) sent me email with image in body message
and I received message ok (I was located in the 2 pcs).

As you can see:
When messages were sent from the 2 pcs (3 and 4): messages were received NOT
ok.
When messages were sent from other pcs (1, 2, 5 and 6): messages were
received ok.

Before yesterday the 2 pcs could send messages perfectly to anybody but
since yesterday they can't. I don't explain me why.

Some else...

THKS!
