Images in signature

I have had a signature for some time with images in it, but after changing it
the other day and then changing it back, the images only show as a box with a
red cross. Any ideas?
 
Version of Outlook?
Which method of changing did you use?
Did you change anything else in between?

All I did was change it to not having a signature, then when I went back the
images had the red cross.

I changed from HTML to plain text and then back again.

I can set it up with Advanced Edit to show in preview but it doesn't show in
the email then when I go back it disappears again.
 
You are being very cryptic here. Can you post exact steps?
Switching from HTML to Plain Text and then to HTML of course will no longer
show the picture as all formatting is dropped in the first conversion.
 
Yes everything got dropped when I switched to plain text but now I can't put
it back.

However...

I've just tried cutting and pasting into the signature (I'm sure I did that
yesterday) and it is now working.

I spoke too soon, they've mysteriously disappeared again.

The steps I take are

Tools

Options

Mail format

Signatures

Then either edit and paste or advanced edit, whatever I do, it seems to
disappear!
