Ever since my mother got her new computer with XP, she has
not been able to forward any email and have the images
appear in her sender's mail.
If she inserts the image herself from something already on
her computer, the image will be visible. If the image is
linked to the web, it will be visible. But if she receives
a email that has images in it, and then wants to forward
it on, she'll see the images prior to clicking "send" but
they are not sent. When she checks her sent box, the
images are not there and her receipients don't see them.
This same thing happens whether she is using Outlook
Express or Eudora.
I have checked and found that when she inserts images, the
html tag that arrives in the email to me includes a
reference to her computer (for example: cid:000a01c35c18
$240a4850$c329fea9@Curtis) But when she is forwarding
mail with images, the reference is not to Curtis, which is
her computer, but to the computer of whoever sent the
email to her in the first place.
Are the images she's receiving in email not being
saved/identified on her computer for some reason? If so,
how do I fix this? Anyone have any solutions for me? She
wants to just be able to forward mail and have the images
remain in tact.
Any help you can offer would be appreciated.
