i'm locked out of my computer and i don't know how to get
into it. it said that my password is expiered and that i
have to change it. so when i try to change it the
password it says that my old password is incorrect. how
do i get past this problem. it does not en=ven give me
the option of getting a hint to remember my old
password. if anyone can help me it would be greatly
appreciated. thanks

Kyle,

IF you do not have any of the passwords to log on to your computer, it
is pretty much a locked box. There is software out there that will allow you
to change the password of accounts on NT/2000/XP if you are locked out of
the computer.

ERD Disk Commander is a tool that will allow you to reset password. But the
price for the software is pretty steep. I have used it at work several time.
It does work

Kyle,

If you can boot into Safe Mode, you might be able to do a system restore
back to a time before you were locked out. That might give you some time to
reset your password. This worked OK for me when, for some reason, WIndows
wouldn't take the password that I very specifically set and wrote down so
that I wouldn't forget it.
