I'm having a problem with my printer Epson LX-1050+

So, I tried to print a document on my Epson LX-1050+ but nothing... My operating system is XP Profesional, the printer can do a self test but I can't print from command promt, word, notepad...
Please somebody give me some indication beacouse it is important that i use this printer. Thank you for the help.

Check the printer cable between the computer and printer.

Shut both off, remove the cable. If possible, replace with an IEEE certified
parallel cable. Check the original cable for bent pins and physical damage.
Reattach making sure the connectors are snug but not over-tight. Power-on
the printer and computer. Try printing from command prompt, Notepad, and
word.
