illegal operation/invalidpage fault

I keep getting an error box that has iexplore at the top
and it says "This program has performed an illegal
operation and will be shut down.
If the problem persitsts, contact the program vendor."

When I click on detatils it says " IExplore caused an
invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL

Any ideas as to why this is happening and how to fix it?
