I have XP SP1 and am trying to install some new
software. I keep getting error, "Microsoft Internet
Information Server not installed. You can add by going
to ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS". But, it not listed as one of
the MS programs that I can add. Does IIS come with XP?
thanks.

I know it comes with Pro but I don't know about Home. Which are you using?

XP Pro, but not XP Home...

From "Help and Support"...

To install IIS, add optional components, or remove optional components

1.. Click Start, click Control Panel, and click Add or Remove Programs.
2.. Click Add/Remove Windows Components. The Windows Components Wizard appears.
3.. Follow the on-screen instructions to install, remove, or add components to IIS.
