I have a friend that if the computer shuts down on an improper shut down,
that it comes up in safemode after restart, regardless of which one you pick
in comes back to the safe mode screen?
Isn't there a setting (seems I have seen it someplace) in windows XP HE that
there is a check mark if the computer shuts down (i.e. power outage or other
reason) that it will do a scan disk before starting up?
What I have to do is go over with my xp disk get into the c: drive and do a
chkdsk? Usually it says there is one error. Then everything is normal.
I am summizing that it isn't automatically starting a scan disk after it
improperly shuts down?
