Ignore messages command

The Old Timer

What happens when you us the ignore message thread? I have tried using
this command on some of the long dull off topic postings in a hope of
ignoring them all. On one hand it does seem that I have avoided getting
more of these messages. but at the same time the number of unread messages
doesn't seem to decrease. Why doesn't this happen as well?
 
Depends on your View>Current View default settings. In all but 'Hide Read
and Ignored', the posts will be marked as Ignored.
