Could you give us the specs on your machine so others can help to diagnose
the problem better? Did you install any third party add ins that might be
affecting the performance of the browser? Have you tried resetting your
Internet Explorer settings to see if it will fix the problem? Click Start >
type Internet Options > open it > click Advanced (tab) > under 'Reset
Internet Explorer settings' > click 'Reset'.

Michael;
If you have had Windows Vista less than 45 days, return it.
Very easy in North America.
Other regions may have different policies.

What changed between this morning and when Windows Vista worked
properly?
Did you try System Restore?
How about checking for spyware, viruses and other malware?
More specifics may give opportunity for someone to give a solution.

"Just get XP if you still can"
You still can and it has been available all along from Toshiba, Dell
and probably other of the major OEMs.
Also many local shops continue to sell computers with Windows XP and
other operating systems.

Many times the problems are caused by the Crapware installed by
manufacturers. So you need to waste time uninstalling much of the trials and
cute programs unrelated to Vista. It's amazing how much better Vista will
behave although still slow.

"...total carp."? So... this is a fishing expedition, right?

"Fed you with MS..." Gee, didn't thing there was a spoon large enough for
that...

Lemme guess... 512MB RAM running Vista Basic... gee, no surprise there...

Windows Vista Home Premium, with Aero enabled, works very fast on my 6 years
old PC (P4 1.7GHz, 768MB RAM, Geforce 6200 256MB AGP).
