Did you install all the latest hardware drivers?
Were you on the Internet before having your firewall enabled and your
antivirus software installed/updated?
You may corrupted the winsock try to re-register it and see if you will be
able to open or connect.
Open a run command and type in:
ipconfig /flushdns click [OK]
ipconfig /renew clcik [OK]
netsh winsock reset click [OK]
Reboot your machine and see if you will be able to establish connection and
make sure the Modem/Router Connectivity Green lights (three) all lighting .
