IE7 link issues

Not sure what forum to post this, but will start here...

All my XP Pro machines running IE7 are having issues with various websites,
including my OWA (Exchange 2007). If I click on a link to a PDF, Excel, DOC,
etc, I get an error that the attachment.ashx file isn't found.

I get the same error on my laptop with my wireless card, as well as an
"older" XP machine running IE7, but otherwise isn't up to date with patches.
These links work fine with other older machines still on IE6.

I've also tried disabling my AV and local firewalls as well.

If I right click on the link, I can download the file through the save as
option.

Ideas?

Thanks in advance!

I've also tried adding these sites to my "trusted" zone, and set the security
settings to low.

Windows Update doesn't show any updates, other than the ones that came out
yesterday. I'm loading those on the chance that they fix the problem.
Anything else I should be looking at for this?

Thanks for the assistance...

Root Certificate update is offered under the "Optional" components
category of Microsoft Updates site.

Did you download this which I believe is the latest - so do check.

I know you are using that web interface discussion group so also try in the
IE7 group there, if the answers here dont help.

Yep - I'm pretty sure I had approved it on the WSUS server previously. In
any case, no updates for it.

I can't believe how long it took, but I found the fix...

Turns out it's a know "issue" with SSL pages, where IE is set to NOT save
encrypted files to disk. MS KB323308 & KB815313

Updated my GPO to disable that setting, and everything is working fine.

Thanks to all who tried to help!
