Link from OE6 to IE7 fails

The first time I use a link from OE6 to IE7, I get the error message "IE has
encountered a problem & needs to close...." And IE7 closes. I then click on
the URL again, and IE7 comes up just fine. This seems to happen only the
first time I click a link after booting up. The rest of the "session" I can
go from OE6 to IE7 without such a message, from different E-mails and to
different URLs. Suggestions?
