IE7 Information Bar

As part of my war on adverts , I have taken Flash Player off my PC. Only
problem is that the Info Bar keeps popping up to tell me that a page wants to
install Flash. If I customize my security settings re Active X controls the
Info Bar stilll pops up, this time to say that the page "may" not work
without Flash. Either way I have to keep cancelling the Info Bar which gets
annoying after several re-appearances.

Would be grateful please for suggestions to stop the Info Bar popping up re
Active X controls ( I do still want to keep it for new software programs!).

I have a similar problem. My computer doesn't recognize that I have Internet
Explorer 7 and I frequently get a popup "Getting started with Internet
Explorer 7." I can't find a way to stop this. Any suggestions? Thank you.
