Adobe Flash player

On my Windowsxp, when I go to some of the site, it says need Flash player.
and it take me to the download site, once i agree to the Adobe Flash player
Terms of service, click on the install now, it will start installation, then
I get thei message under the tools bar - This website wants to install the
following add-on: Adobe flash player" from Adobe system incorporateed" If you
trust the website and the add-on and want to installit, click here, when I
click on it , it got 3 options ,install ActiveX control, what is the risk,and
more info. I click on install ActiveX control, I will see the Adobe flash
player succussfully installed. then I go back to the sit and click the like I
will get the asme message " it need flash player. Is ther a way I can down
load and install this Flash player for permentely? or how can I get this
working.

Somebody wrote in one of these newsgroups that the way to handle the
installation is to, firstly, use the Adobe flash uninstaller. This is
done, supposedly, to remove any conflicting versions of the files that
are going to be updated. And, secondly, after uninstalling all of the
old add-ons, install Flash Player 9.0, when indicated in the browser.
Might work for you.
