ie6sp1 causes slowdown

Can anyone tell me the link that leads to fixing this on
Microsoft's site: what happened was...Internet Explorer
shut down, with a message inviting me to report it to
Microsoft, which I did. This produced another message
saying that Microsoft recommended I download support pack
1 to avoid similar crashes. So I did. Somewhere on the
site I recall a paragraph that said something about what
to do if you got severe slowdown on restarting after
downloading the support pack but I couldn't remember what
it said...now I can't get back to that particular page
and I'm stuck with a browser that is really really slow
and sometimes just seems to stop for a rest before
putting up a new page, although it tells me it's 'done'.
I tried to uninstall it but got a message asking if I
really wanted to install the whole program & I'm afraid
to to that. Help.

Look at the other posts here. You are not alone.
cwshredder.zip fixed my problem - I was just hours away
from wiping the drive and reinstalling Win2K.
