Hello all I hope you can help with the following problems i am having with
ie6 .
ie6 was working fine earlier today (sat) but then after exiting it started
not loading properly.
What was happening after clicking the ie icon the program would load the
main window , but do nothing and freeze the pc momentarily, Ican close the
window from the task bar, but not from the x button .
I've read as much as I can regarding the reinstallition of IE and have
downloaded it again modified the reg to as in the eldergeek help section /ms
help section , butall to no avail .
I have ran pc doctor /bug doctor etc . I've also ran all my virus checkers
in safe mode / tauscan / avg etc . also adaware / spybot but everything is
coming up clean .
The strange thing is firefox works fine / but I'm having problems getting
trillian messenger working for my 14yr old .
When I booted insafe mode IE came upwith the offline message in the header
so i changed that toonline but to no avail .
I really dont want to have to reinstall windows for the sake of ie6 ? , also
I am a time computers so I dont have the xpdisc , butam running the system
off downloaded version of XP which has been running fine until sat .
If anyone can think of anything I would be very grateful . I'm not a comp
expert but I can usually sort out most things .
