Hello,

I can no longer get ie6 to load. I have tried uninstalling
it, re-installing it, updateing it, etc. I had to load a
copy of netscape just to try and find out what is going on.

When I try to update it I get a mesage that says a newer
version is on my computer, and then it stops updateing. I
have examined my whole system with (updated) Norton anti /
internet / firewall and everything comes up clean. I
continue to send the error reports like the message asks me
to do, is somone at Microsoft looking at those reports and
able to tell me what to do to resolve this?

Thanks
J

From Control Panel> Internet Options> Advanced uncheck "Enable third party
browser extensions." If that allows IE to run, then search for and remove
malware:
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:

Run CWShredder from http://www.merijn.org/downloads.html first. It's been
the most helpful with this problem. But Ad-aware or Spybot S&D might be the
fix for your system.

You should re-enable browser extensions after the cleanup.
