IE6 sp2 'forgets' zone mappings

We use Group policy to define zone mappings for 'local intranet' and
'trusted' sites on our XP pro sp2 PCs. This works fine for varying lengths of
time, then IE will suddenly lose the settings and treat every site as
'internet' with the associated restrictions we have in place. Looking at the
registry, the zone map settings are still there. If you close all browser
instances and launch again, it works fine. Any ideas?
