I am running Internet Explorer
v6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633
When in a conversation with a friend, on MSN Messenger, I
tried to activate 'Whiteboard.' I immediately received a
message from the program that I needed to 'update'
to 'Windows Messenger v4.7' to add that capability (
there was a URL with a link to download Windows Messenger
v4.7). I downloaded and installed Windows Messenger
v4.7, and immediately noticed that my Internet Explorer
shortcut in my Start menu had disappeared.
Then, I went to my Start --> All Programs menus to try to
locate the Internet Explorer application, and could NOT
find it listed anywhere, as before.
I am able to 'browse' through my Outlook program
(Internet Explorer starts inside of Outlook). However,
when I do that, I do not have access to Internet
Explorer's unique menus, and functions, etc ... because I
am working in Outlook.
The only way I've been able to start Internet Explorer
independently, is to click on 'links' that are present in
my MSN Messenger program. When I do this, Internet
Explorer starts, and I have it's menus and functions.
I have tried doing a 'search' for Internet Explorer on my
C Drive, but I STILL cannot locate the actual application.
All I want to do, is to 'restore' Internet Explorer to my
Start menu, and to be able to find it once again, when I
navigate my Start --> All Programs menus.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
