IE 6 problems with setting up start menu.

after an attack by a hijacker, my internet explorer disappeared from my start
menu and it was replaced by MSN explorer. When I got rid of the hijacker, the
start menu has no internet connection bar in it at all. I've reinstalled IE 6
but it hasn't replaced the start bar. Can anyone tell me how to get it back?

Hi coastcat :)

You don't mention the version of Windows you are using, but, try the
following and see if it helps:

Start>Run>Type IE4UINIT.EXE
Hit enter

This creates a shortcut to iexplore.exe and places it in the Quick Launch
and Start Menu > All Programs.

You can then right click on the Icon and then click Pin to Start menu.

Hope this helps.
