IE6 Crashes when trying to run Flash Objects

Every time I try to run a Flash Object IE6 crashes. It
can be a movie or a game. I tried re-installing both, IE6
and the Flash player and nothing works. The only thing
that actually worked was reverting to the previous version
of IE. If anybody has any ideas please let me know.

I'm having the same problem. I've installed the latest
windows updates includes the IE patches with no luck.

Rule out parasites, does it help?

IE 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

and:

I have this same problem.

My issues began when I downloaded the new Shockwave player
on Thursday. While plaing a flash/shockwave game, my
comptuer shut off with the motherboard giving a long
*beep*.

This happened twice more, and on one reboot, I got the
lsass.exe memory error message (lowercase l no
LSASS.exe). My system finally rebooted, after I booted
into safe mode and restored to a previous point.

The crash issue happened again while running Norton AV
2004 with fully updated virus definitions. It happened
again while running Spybot S&D and again while running
Adaware.

I also ran ScanDisk (or the XP Pro equivalent) and it
showed 16K in bad sectors. I re-ran the scan to fix bad
sectors an I still have the problem.

Also, when I do boot in, I cannot see flash content on any
pages. It either does not show up, or there is the red x
in the placeholder.
