IE6 crashes opening .pdfs

downloaded and installed adobe reader 6.0 (most recent)
to replace my old 5.1 and still the browser crashes. any
ideas?

Did you uninstall the old version first?

Frank:

Your only response to the freezing problem is to uninstall and re-install from Adobe site. I did this twice with no resolution. IE still freezes after I try to shut down a recently viewed PDF. Any solutions other than uninstall / re-install?
