IE6: Cannot save link

I cannot save file from any Internet page (using right-click on the link and
"Save as..." dialogue).
Instead of "Save as..." dialogue I see my Desktop in Explorer window!
Other users (log-ins) on this computer do not have the trouble.
How it can be troubleshooted and restored to be in order?

Try this:

_Enable_ or _Disable_ Right Click Context Menu (Line 56, Right)
(See instructions for REG files at top of page)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Download both files (contextmenu.reg and contextmenuundo.reg).

First run contextmenuundo.reg and reboot, then run contextmenu.reg and
reboot. The first should remove all options from the right-click context
menu; the second should bring them back, hopefully including the Save As
option.

I have done this trick. Sorry, it had no effect.
I wonder if anybody knows where in Registry "Save as..." shell option is
controlled.
I believe that something in HKEY_CURRENT_USER is wrong because other users
have no such problem.
Let me know please.

I am running IE6 as I metioned in the theme caption of my first message.
Windows updates are loaded automatically via Windows Update service of
WinXP.

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log
to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert. **Post your log to

analysis, not here.**

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.
