IE6 "cannot find server" problem with website & msn

Okay, for about 3 weeks now I cannot access (ezboard.com)
or my MSN hotmail. I have windows XP.

When I go to my message boards on ezboard.com it says the
page cannot be displayed, but when I talk to other people
through messenger they can get it displayed. The only
thing I can think of is the updates that I installed.

I went to microsoft and searched for the error messages I
was getting, below are all the updates I installed.
Except, when I try to download IE6 SP1, it says please
install IE6. I have IE6, but I double clicked on setup
IE6 just in case. When a little window pops up
saying "Setup has detected a newer version of Internet
Explorer allready installed on this system. Setup cannot
continue."

MICROSOFT UPDATES INSTALLED
IE6 SP1, Q330994, Q831167, Q832894, Q837009, KB823980,
KB841720, KB835732"

SEARCHED FOR
"hijackware", "parasite"

RUN/RAN
"Norton Live Update, Full system scan"
"Microsoft Internet Updates"

WENT TO
Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/Security/ made sure
everything was clicked correctly as well as Java
settings. Searched 6 pages back in this newsgroup

I don't get it can somebody please help me.

Last resort -
How can I uninstall everything and reinstall, without
losing any of my comp files?

Thanks
