IE6 browser

At times, I play pinochle or canasta online through IE6.
While playing, I will minimize the IE6 browser to the
toolbar. However, when I want to leave the site and shut
down my computer, I must first use Cntrl/Alt/Del to close
the IE6 browser page that was minimized. Is there a fix
to this? Thank you.

It may be that the games are doing something they shouldn't. Some of the
internet games my young son plays can create similar problems, and I have to
ban him from playing those games.
