IE6 Browser not working

Hi

Unable to view web pages using IE6.

I get the error message "Forbidden, you wer denied access Because: Access
denied access control list."

Windows update works but not through the Browser, only because it is set to
automatic updates.

Norton Live update is unable to connect to the Update server.

I have done scans with Spybot & Ad-aware, and can update them, and there is
nothing found.

Probebly a risky thing to do, but i have put the machine on to my network,
and scannecd the C:\ with Norton Anti Virus, and found no virus's( it was the
only thing i could think of to scan the Machine).

Does this mean there is a Browser Hi-jack?

Can some one help on this please

Thanks

Hi Uncle Buck,
Your situation sounds different.
Try this:
Clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete
files (and delete offline content when that dialog pops up) It's often
recommended that the TIF folder be kept at about 50 MB (Settings.)

Then, it's likely that there's malware running on this machine. Download and
run CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot.
See: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
