IE6 browser can't download files

B

Bryan Holland

I have a XP Home system with IE 6 SP1 that had several mal-ware infections.
I have removed all the mal-ware and the system seems to be working well.
However, if I try do download a file, such as to download a utility off of
download.com, the browser closes. No errors are displayed, no hanging or
other performance problems, it just closes as if I clicked the close windows
button. I can navigate just fine, the problem only occurs when I select a
link to download a file.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bryan
