IE6 Add-ons

Under "Manage Add-Ons" the following shows as a currently used add-on:
{B205A3SE-1FC4-4CE3-818B-899DBBB3388C}. There are no publisher details and I
have searched the Internet to no avail. As a precaution I have disabled it
but can find no way of removing it. Please, can anyone kindly tell me what
this item is?

Hi Jerry. Yes, did a full search of all files and folders but surprisingly
found no trace of this item. Any thoughts?

Did you do a search of the registry to see if you could find any info?

But, as Jerry asked, did you search the registry?

Best I can tell, it's not a known CLSID.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.

Simon;

I just checked my system and noticed you posted the wrong CLSID - it should
start B205A35E- not B205A3SE- you mis-typed the 5 as an S.

Using the correct {address} I got a hit in the right pane of Default =
IEDDeskBar with other 'folder' under the {} in the left pane.

Try again.

Thanks for this - it has enabled me to trace it to MS Encarta and to see that
it is legitimate.
