IE won't open

IE flashes and quits when I try to open and I have to
press the browser icon 3-5 times for it to finally open.
I have used Adaware and spybot and everything that has
been recomednde by various people on line and I have
reinstalled IE and XP as well but all to no avail.

Are there any other suggestions?
